Eric Clapton is Going to Rock Greenwich

Just one more reason to live in Greenwich.  If you think Greenwich can’t possibly get any nicer, they come out and surprise you with events such as the Greenwich Town Party.  On May 26th the Greenwich Town Party will be throwing it’s annual community bash with headliner… wait for it… Eric Clapton.  But it’s not just Clapton;  11 other bands including the Tedeschi Trucks band, led by the married duo Derick Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, will be playing throughout the day to entertain all who come out to enjoy.  Past headliners have included Steely Dan, Santana, Hall & Oates, James Taylor and Paul Simon.  So if you can’t make it this year you should know that this even draws some serious talent.

There is one catch… you have to be a resident of Greenwich or work there.  If you don’t happen to be in one of those two categories you can always volunteer by reaching out on their website https://greenwichtownparty.org/participate/ .

The tickets come in a few categories and go on sale at different times.  The Neighbor Passes are already on sale for $500 and give you free parking, access to exclusive areas, as well as beer, wine and all-day food & beverages sponsored by Citarella.  Sponsorship is another option.  Sponsorship tickets are on sale for $1500 and include access to Sponsor Tent with catered food and full bar as well as Premier parking in Island Beach lot.

General admission tickets may be the way to go if you aren’t trying to break the bank and go for $85 and $25 for seniors.  These tickets go on sale April 5th at 10:00 am, so set a reminder on your calendar because this is the proverbial event of the season and you won’t want to miss it.

Hope to see you there (I’ll be Volunteering so keep an eye out and say hi)
